It does knock you for six, but time will ease things. We're here too if you need a friendly distraction, but don't worry about us or the books. It is an especially startling and timely one for me. I lost my own dad on May 23 of this year--he'd just turned 82 two months earlier, but he was one of the strongest men I've ever known. Oh, yes certainly this is that chapter we know to expect at the end of that book titled Real Life, but knowing it's an inescapable eventuality makes it no easier when that page finally does turns. In every sense it is the end of an era. If you do them, great, if not, no problem. Meanwhile take care -- it's a waiting game, and you have to just go with it. harriethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04470091985662379182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3069628911357973492.post-36043525891182050782014-05-28T05:15:54.060+01:002014-05-28T05:15:54.060+01:00What a day to discover your blog. My condolences. I don't think anything can prepare us for the loss of a parent, even if they have been ill, let alone suddenly, like your father's (and my mother's).Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17782561487396697870noreply@blogger.com
